With a contemporary hands-on culinary learning experienced, balanced between theory and practice, the professional expertise of the 4-year culinary undergraduate programme covers advanced techniques with a focus on developing the skilled culinarian in you with the outlook and mindset of an entrepreneur.

  • Semester 1 – Fundamental Techniques, Cuisines, Pastry Arts, Communication, Sustainable Business and Operations
  • Semester 2 – Intermediate Techniques, Culinary Management, Finance, Restaurant Immersion, Language (French)

 

Year 2
 

  • Semester 3 – Industry Training & Internship – 6 months
  • Semester 4 – Culinary Skill Development I, Marketing, Human Resources, Kitchen Design, Facilities Management, Economics

 

Year 3
 

  • Semester 5 - Culinary Skill Development II, Entrepreneurship, Research Methodology, IT, Aesthetics & Design
  • Semester 6 - Culinary Skill Development III, Project Work & Small Business Operation, Interior Design, Food Photography, Commercial Law, Ethics

Year 4
 

  • Semester 7 - Specialisation (Marketing, Culinary Business Project, Entrepreneurship)
  • Semester 8 - Industry Training & Internship – 6 months

Workshops, industry courses, speaker sessions, classes and practical exercises, business projects, personal research etc are a regular part of the programme.

I wanted to find purpose in my passion, which led me to pursue a culinary degree at ISH. As a child, you could always find me in the kitchen where I would spend hours doing what I’m most passionate about; cooking. When I visited the ISH campus, I fell in love with it, there was no going back after that.
